How To Hide Likes On Your Instagram Posts

On 26 May 2021, Facebook has announced tools to hide the number of reactions to Instagram posts.
In this blog or video, I am going to show you, How To Hide Or Show Likes Count On Your Instagram Post Using The Instagram App On Android Phone.
You can hide likes while creating a new post and also on an existing post.

How To Hide Likes While Creating a New Post

  1. To hide the number of likes to your posts, open the Instagram App.
  2. Tap the + (Plus) icon (at top-right) to create a new post.
  3. Select photos or videos that you want to post, and then tap the → (Right Arrow) icon (at top-right).
  4. If you want, add filters or edit the media, and then tap the → (Right Arrow) icon (at top-right).
  5. On the "New post" page, tap "Advanced settings" at the bottom. This will take you to a page where you can hide Instagram comments, share posts on Facebook, hide like and view counts, etc.
  6. Turn on the slider next to the "Hide like and view counts on this post" option.
    You can also Turn Off Commenting by turning on the slider next to this option.
  7. Go back and finish posting your image or video.
  8. With that setting on, other Instagram users will not see the total number of likes on your post even if they have not disabled like counts for their own profile. However, you'll still see like count plus views on that particular post.

How To Hide Likes On Your Instagram Post

If you’ve already shared a post, you can still hide likes on Instagram Post.
  1. To hide the number of likes to your existing post, open the post on which you want to hide likes.
  2. Tap on the ⁝ (3 vertical dots) icon (at the top right of your post) and select the "Hide Like Count" option.
    You can also "Turn Off Commenting" by selecting this option.
  3. After this, no one can see the number of likes on this post.

How To Show Likes On Your Instagram Post

If you have already hidden likes count on your post and now, you want to show the number of likes on your Instagram Post.
  1. Then open the post on which you want to show likes count.
  2. Tap on the ⁝ (3 vertical dots) icon (at the top right of your post) and select the "Unhide Like Count" option.
  3. You can do this for your old Instagram posts as well.
However, you should also keep in mind that if you want to hide like counts on your posts in the future, you will have to repeat this process for each post.
