How To Extract Text from Image on Windows PC

Extracting text on an Android phone is very easy using Google Lens. But on PC, it's not easy.
So, in this blog post, I will show you how to copy text from images on Windows PC.

Extract Text from Images in Webpages

If you are scrolling a webpage and found an image, from which you want to extract text.

If you are using Google Chrome,

  • Simply right-click on Image and select "Search image with Google Lens".
  • In the "Google Lens" area click on the Text button.
  • Then click on "Select all text" or select text according to your needs.
  • And then click on "Copy text".
  • Now, the text is copied to the clipboard, which you can paste into any app.

If you are using Microsoft Edge,

  • Simply right-click on Image and select "Search the web for image".
  • A new tab will open, click on the "Visual search" button.
  • And then click on "Copy text" to copy all text from the image. Or select text according to your need and copy it.
  • Now, the text is copied to the clipboard, which you can paste into any app.

Extract Text from Images saved on the PC

To extract text from Images saved on the PC, we have to first open that image in any browser (Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge) and then we can follow the above method to copy text from the Image.

To open downloaded/saved images in the Web browser:

  • Open the folder, in which the image is saved, and a web browser side-by-side.
  • Drag and drop the image into the web browser.
  • Then right-click on the image and select the image search option.
  • And then follow the above steps according to your web browser.
