Many tools can show the CPU temperature, but most of them need to first install on a device, that takes storage.
So in this blog post, I am going to show you how to check CPU temperature on Windows 11 / 10 / 8.1 PC without installing any software.
We are going to use the "Open Hardware Monitor" tool to check CPU temperature.
The Open Hardware Monitor is a free open source software that monitors temperature sensors, fan speeds, voltages, load and clock speeds of a computer.
How to check CPU temperature using Open Hardware Monitor on Windows PC?
- Head over to the "Open Hardware Monitor" website page and click on the "Download Now" button to download the Open Hardware Monitor.
- Next, extract the ZIP: Right-click on the zip file and select "Extract all...".On the "Extract Compressed (Zipped) Folder" window, click on the Extract button.
- After that, open the extracted folder and run the “OpenHardwareMonitor” application.
- And there you go! You can check the temperature of all the CPU cores by expanding the “Temperatures” section under the processor’s name in the app. It even shows the CPU Package temperature, measured using the sensor inside the processor.
And that’s how you can check the CPU Temperature on Windows PC.
