How To Turn On Auto-Remove App Permissions On Android Phone (Any Versions)

Google first introduced Permissions auto‑reset in Android 11. This feature automatically reset app permissions, if you haven't used an app in a while.
In September last year, the company announced that it would bring the feature to devices running older versions of Android starting December 2021.
As promised, Google has started rolling it out to devices running Android 6.0 and above through Google Play Protect.
In this blog post, I will show you, How To Turn On Auto-Remove App Permissions On Android 6 and newer versions.

To turn on Permissions auto‑reset on Android phones:

  1. Open the "Play Store" app.
  2. In the "Play Store" app, tap on the profile photo and select "Play Protect".
  3. In "Play Protect", tap on the Settings icon (at the top-right).
  4. In "Play Protect Settings", under "App privacy" tap on "Permissions for unused apps".
  5. In "App privacy", switch to the "All Apps" tab.
  6. Tap on an app. And turn ON the toggle next to "Remove permissions if app isn't used".

And now, the app will have its permissions removed if you don't use that for more than three months.
