How to update Samsung (Android) phone software | Update Android software & Google Play system

In this blog post, I will show you, how to update Samsung Phone software and I will also show you how to install Google Play System Update.
Keeping Android phone software up to date makes the phone secure and improves performance.

Please note: I will use Samsung Galaxy M34 running on One UI 6.1 (based on Android 14). So some settings may be different in the different models.

How To Update Samsung Phone Software

To install the latest software update on Samsung phones:
  1. Open "Notification Panel" and select Settings.
  2. In Settings, tap on "Software update".
  3. And then tap on "Download and install".
  4. If the status says "Updates are available," then Download and Install the update. You may need to restart your phone to complete the update. And, If the status says "Your software is up to date", then continue and check for Google Play System Update.

How To Update Google Play System On Samsung Phones

To install the Google Play system update:
  1. Open Settings.
  2. In Settings, tap on "Security and privacy".
  3. In "Security and privacy settings, tap on Updates.
  4. In Updates, tap on "Google Play system update".
  5. And then tap on "Check for update".
  6. Again, if the status says "Updates are available," then Download and Install the update. You may need to restart your phone to complete the update. And, If the status says "Your device is up to date", then your phone already running on the latest software.
