How to turn off Defender antivirus protection in Windows Security on Windows 11 PC

In this blog post, I am going to show you, how to turn off Real-time protection in Windows Security on Windows 11 PC.

To temporarily turn off real-time Microsoft Defender antivirus protection in Windows Security on Windows 11:

1. Right-click on Start and select Settings.
2. In Settings, click on Open Navigation ≡ and select Privacy & Security.
3. In Privacy & Security, click on Windows Security.
4. In Windows Security, click on Virus & threat protection.
5. In Virus & threat protection, under Virus & threat protection settings, click on Manage settings.
6. In Virus & threat protection settings, turn off the toggle under Real-time protection.
   On UAC, click on Yes.

Please note that scheduled scans will continue to run. However, files that are downloaded or installed will not be scanned until the next scheduled scan.
