Is your USB drive throwing up a disk write protection error?
In this blog or video, I am going to show you, how to fix write protected Pendrive or USB Drive.
Step 1: Download the write protection removal tool
There is a tool named "JetFlash Online Recovery" that can easily remove write protection from any Pendrive or USB Drive for FREE.

Step 2: Connect the computer to the internet
After downloading the tool, the next step is to connect your computer to fast internet via WIFI or Ethernet.
Make sure that the option "Set as metered connection" is turned off.
To turn off this option, open Settings > "Network & Internet" > Status > Properties. And then under "Metered connection" turn off the toggle under "Set as metered connection".
Step 3: Insert write-protected Pendrive and Backup data (if important)
Now insert (or connect) your write-protected Pendrive or USB Drive to the computer and copy all data from USB Drive to the computer.
Step 3: Repair the write-protected Pendrive or USB Drive
Now it's time to repair your Pendrive or USB Drive.
- Run the tool with admin rights.To run the tool with admin rights, right-click on "JetFlash Online Recovery" and select the "Run as administrator" option.
- The tool will automatically detect your Pendrive or USB Drive.
- On the next page/window, check the "Repair drive & erase all data" option and then click on the START button.
- After clicking on the START button, the tool will automatically repair your Pendrive or USB Drive.This may take up to 10 minutes.
And that’s how you can fix the "The disk is write-protected" USB Error.
