पिक्चर-इन-पिक्चर (PiP) आपको अपने मोबाइल फ़ोन पर अन्य ऐप्स का उपयोग करते हुए यूट्यूब वीडियो देखने की अनुमति देता है।
नमस्कार दोस्तों, इस ब्लॉग या वीडियो में, मैं एंड्राइड फ़ोन पर PiP (पिक्चर-इन-पिक्चर) मोड में यूट्यूब वीडियो चलाने और देखने के 2 तरीके शेयर करने जा रहा हूं। पहला तरीका में, हम यूट्यूब ऐप का उपयोग करेगे, और दूसरा तरीका में, क्रोम ऐप का।

चरण 2: यूट्यूब ऐप पर PiP मोड इनेबल करें।

एंड्राइड 8.0 (Oreo) और इसके बाद के वर्शन पर चलने वाले सभी फ़ोन्स में PiP मोड डिफ़ॉल्ट रूप से चालू होता है।
इसे चेक करने के लिए:
  1. YouTube ऐप खोलें।
  2. ऊपरी-दाएँ कोने में प्रोफ़ाइल पोर्ट्रेट आइकन पर टैप करें।
  3. Settings पर टैप करें।
  4. General पर टैप करें।
  5. और "Picture-in-picture" ऑप्शन के बगल में स्थित स्विच को चालू कर ले।

चरण 3: PiP प्लेबैक प्रारंभ करें।

  1. अब हम सब सेट कर चुके हैं। बस, YouTube ऐप पर एक वीडियो चलाएं।
  2. और फोन की Home Screen पर जाएं।

PiP mode shrinks the video into a small player that you can move around your home screen and position over other apps.

Method 1: Using YouTube App.

According to Google, PiP Mode is only available to:
  • YouTube Premium members on Android mobile phones, worldwide.
  • Android users in the United States running Android Oreo or greater, with ad-supported PiP playback.
But, even if you do not live in America, you can still play YouTube videos in PiP mode by connecting the network to America virtually.
Let's see how to do this.

Step 1: Install the VPN app.

First, you have to install a VPN app. And then the network has to be connected to the United States.
The best VPN app in my opinion is BROWSEC. Because it is free and you can use its features directly from Quick Settings.
To set up this app:
  1. Open the Play Store app.
  2. Search for BROWSEC.
  3. And then Install the app. After installing, open the app.
  4. Select the "United States" in the drop-down.
  5. Then to connect to the US network, turn on the toggle.

Step 2: Enable PiP mode on YouTube App.

PiP mode is turned on by default for all phones running Android 8.0 (Oreo) and above.
To check it:
  1. Open the YouTube App.
  2. Tap the profile portrait icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap on Settings.
  4. Tap on General.
  5. And turn on the switch next to the "Picture-in-picture" option.

Step 3: Start PiP playback.

  1. Now we have been set it. Just, play a video on YouTube App.
  2. Go to Phone's Home Screen.
  3. And then the video will starts playing in PiP Mode.
  4. To resume playback in the YouTube app, double-tap the PiP. To stop the PiP playback, drag it to the bottom of the screen.

Is PiP mode not working?

If PiP is not working on your Android phone. Then, you have to go to system settings and turn on PiP mode.
To turn on PiP:
  1. Go to your Android Settings.
  2. Search PiP. And open Picture-in-picture.
  3. Tap on YouTube. 
  4. And turn on the switch next to "Allow permission".
    Please note: these settings may be different on different phones.

Method 2: Using Chrome App.

If you don't want to install an additional app to play Youtube videos in PiP mode. Then, You can use a Chrome app to play YouTube in PiP mode.
Before we proceed, makes sure that PiP mode is turned on for Chrome App in System Settings.
To start PiP playback of YouTube Video on Chrome:
  1. Load YouTube (youtube.com) in Chrome and play a video.
  2. Then, tap the Full-Screen icon to switch it to full-screen mode.
  3. Go to Phone's Home Screen.
  4. And then the video will starts playing in PiP Mode.
  5. To resume playback in the Chrome app, double-tap the PiP. And to stop the PiP playback, drag it to the bottom of the screen.
And that’s how you can play YouTube videos in picture-in-picture mode on Android.
