The new Microsoft Photos app is lighter than the old app and allows you to view, organize, and share photos from your PC, OneDrive and iCloud Photos.
But, it lacks many features of the old or legacy Photos app. The legacy version includes features like Video Editor, People tab, and Albums. In the Legacy version of the Photos app, you can easily view, edit, compare, create albums, and make movies of your special memories.
How to get Microsoft Photos Legacy App?
If your PC is running the latest version of Photos and you'd like to use the Photos Legacy version, do the following:
- Open the Photos app.
- Click on the Settings icon at the top-right.
- In Settings, under the About section select Get Photos Legacy.
- And then, in Microsoft Store, click on the Install button.
After installation, you can run the new Photos app and Photos Legacy app on your PC at the same time.
