How to turn on Auto optimise daily on Samsung phones

The Auto optimization feature optimises the phone automatically once a day. The phone will only be optimised if the phone screen is off and isn't in use. For best results, schedule optimisation for a time when you don't usually use your phone.
To activate Auto optimization on Samsung phones:
  • Open "Notification Panel" and select Settings.
  • In Settings, tap on "Battery and device care".
  • In "Device care", tap on More options ⁝ (at top-right) and select Automation.
  • In Automation, tap on "Auto optimise daily".
  • In "Auto optimise daily", turn ON the toggle.
  • Tap on Time and set the best time for automatic daily optimization.
  • You can also turn on"Close apps to free up memory". If this option is turned on, background apps will be closed, but not your most recently used apps.

How to turn on Auto restart at set times on Samsung phones

The Auto restart feature optimizes your device by restarting it automatically at set times. Any unsaved data will be lost when the device restarts. But restarting your device will also free up RAM and allow your device's performance to go back to optimal.
If the option is set, your device will restart automatically within 1 hour of the time you set it.
Your phone will only restart when:
  • The screen is off.
  • The phone isn’t being used.
  • The battery is above 30%
  • The SIM card lock is off.
So for best results, schedule auto restart for a time when you don't usually use your phone.

To activate Adaptive power saving on Samsung phones:
  • Open "Notification Panel" and select Settings.

  • In Automation, turn ON the toggle next to "Adaptive power saving".
