यूजर्स डेटा चोरी करने वाले ट्रोजन पाए जाने के बाद Google ने Play Store से 9 ऐप्स हटा दिए हैं। विचाराधीन ऐप्स समान जावास्क्रिप्ट कोड का उपयोग करके उपयोगकर्ताओं के फेसबुक पासवर्ड चुरा रहे थे।

इन ट्रोजन ऐप्स की खोज डिजिटल सुरक्षा प्लेटफॉर्म Dr. Web ने की थी क्योंकि फर्म के शोधकर्ताओं ने इस पर एक विस्तृत रिपोर्ट शेयर की थी। रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, ट्रोजन ऐप ने यूजर्स के पासवर्ड समेत फेसबुक क्रेडेंशियल हासिल करने के लिए एक खास मैकेनिज्म का इस्तेमाल किया। फिर, उन्होंने हासिल किया हुई डेटा को हैकर्स के सर्वर पर भेज दिया। रिपोर्ट से यह भी पता चलता है कि ऐप्स ने हैकर्स को भेजने के लिए current authorization (वर्तमान प्राधिकरण) सेशन से कूकीज चुरा लीं।

5. Inwell Fitness (100K+ डौन्लोडस)
6. App Lock Keep (50K+ डौन्लोडस)
7. Lockit Master (50K+ डौन्लोडस)
8. Horoscope Pi (1K+ डौन्लोडस)
9. App Lock Manager (10+ डौन्लोडस)

Google has removed 9 apps from the Play Store after they were discovered to be trojans, stealing user data. The apps in question were stealing Facebook passwords of users by using identical Javascript code.

These trojan apps were discovered by the digital security platform Dr. Web as researchers from the firm shared a detailed report on the same. As per the report, the trojan app used a special mechanism to acquire Facebook credentials, including passwords, of users. Then, they sent the acquired data to the hackers’ servers. The report also suggests that the apps stole cookies from the current authorization session to send them to hackers.

If you downloaded any one of these apps on your device, we recommend you remove it right away and change your Facebook password immediately.

Then go to the “have I been pwned?” website to check if your Facebook credentials were compromised or not.
