Now we can control which holidays show on our Calendar - New Feature in Google Calendar | अब हम नियंत्रित कर सकते हैं कि हमारे कैलेंडर में कौन-सी छुट्टियां दिखाई दें - Google कैलेंडर में नई सुविधा

Quick summary

To provide more control over your calendar, Google is adding a new option to choose which holidays to display. Previously, Google Calender showed all holidays for regions we select, including official public holidays (such as Thanksgiving in the US, or the summer bank holiday in the UK), as well as unofficial other holidays (such as Valentine's Day and Mother’s Day). Now, we can choose if we want to see:
  • Public holidays and other holidays: The calendar will continue to display all holidays, as it does today.
  • Public holidays only: The calendar will only show official public holidays for our region.

To manage holidays on your calendar:

On Google Calendar Web:

  1. Click on the Settings icon (at top-right) and then click on Settings.
  2. Expand "Add Calendar" and select "Browse Calendars of Interest".
  3. Now, under Regional holidays, you can see those two new options on, right side of the Holiday calendar.
If you haven't added a holiday calendar, click "Browse all" and tick the calendar you want to add.

On Mobile App:

  1. Tap on Menu (≡, at top-left) > Settings.
  2. Under More, tap on Holidays.
  3. Tap on your country name (say India).
  4. Now, you can see those two new options, below the Holiday calendar.
If you haven't added a holiday calendar, tap "Add country holidays" and tick the calendar you want to add.
